Always jump even if you might fall

tomorrow being my 19th birthday i have to write something. ive been painting all day trying things i never done before. trying to incorporate green in my art...YES GREEN...dare i say it AND BROWN lol. i started this painting with a concept of three colors. leafy green, warm yellow, and paprika. the colors all together inspired me and i had to paint with them. but what to paint? i hit the wall. i tried an eye but seemed too easy. i tried a design but too hard. then a picture in my head came to me of an old juxtapoz cover piece of a monster attacking a fisherman. it wasnt the design that caught my eye the most it was the combination of colors that amazed me. i wanted to learn. but with markers you could never get the colors to blend. my last option. paint. since i was younger i despized painting because i couldnt control the paint as i could with a marker so i quarantined myself as much as possible. today i made an exception. i did what every marine does. follow orders and do what it takes to complete the mission. so i took my color ideas and the marine mentality and made war PRETTY. yes i did it. instead of looking at destruction and a tear coming i made it so you look in suprise and like some of my friends...envy lol. so take a look. enjoy me jumping off the cliff i fell halfway to my doom but then again the painting isnt done.

Neat Freaks Can Never Be Artists

in every piece of art...YOU MUST GIVE A LITTLE OF YOURSELF...what do i mean? i mean feel the grains of graphite or charcoal, add that elbow grease, let the art make you sweat or cry. nothing is worth looking unless the artist put himself in it. same goes for all mediums that apply to all senses. if you dont like it then art is not for you. an artist is only an artist when he has to take long vacations because he used everything he has into a series of pieces. like this photo. you be the judge if i added feeling or not....
